Senior App Developer

Shape the technical direction of our mobile app, partner with our external agency during transition, and play a key role in building our in-house engineering team. This is a hands-on position where you’ll shape architecture, write high-quality code, and contribute directly to a product that sports fans will love. Lead technical direction: Contribute to the app’s architecture and technical roadmap while upholding coding standards, design patterns, and performance best practices. Mentor and guide the team: Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and professional growth. Develop and optimize mobile apps: Build, maintain, and enhance mobile applications using React Native, Expo, EAS, and TypeScript, ensuring smooth performance and platform scalability. Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver high-quality, user-centric features. Implement secure authentication: Manage OAuth flows and integrations with identity providers like Google and Apple, ensuring secure handling of user data. Integrate APIs and manage data: Collaborate with backend engineers to optimize API efficiency, and handle client-side data fetching, caching, and synchronization. Champion testing and quality: Define and implement QA processes with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing through CI/CD pipelines. Oversee deployment and distribution: Manage app releases through TestFlight and App Store Connect, and guide expansion to Android and Google Play distribution.
