Senior Government Underwriter

The Senior Government Underwriter (UW) verifies necessary conditions to ensure that borrowers meet program specifications by drawing upon thorough knowledge of residential mortgage underwriting guidelines. They will also act as a “knowledge bank” in support of various departments and be a conduit of that knowledge both internally and to HomeXpress Mortgage’s clients. They will perform analysis of submitted files for repayment capacity, capital, character, collateral, and property condition while adhering to HomeXpress credit policies and guidelines Properly Condition loans per Underwriting Guidelines and AUS as applicable and will communicate decisions to appropriate individuals. They will clear conditions and ensure the highest quality and level of customer satisfaction.
