Contract Details:
- This is a 12-month fixed term contract, 40 hours per week.
- Time zone requirements: UTC-8 to UTC-3 (Los Angeles to São Paulo).
Role and Responsibilities:
- Research and ideation: Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of content ideas connecting cultural moments and trending topics to Wikimedia's mission.
- Copywriting and visual design: Write on-brand copy and design graphics and carousels that are platform-native and visually engaging.
- Content production: Develop and maintain organized systems for tracking content, deliverables, and approvals at scale.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in social media content creation, graphic design, motion design, or a closely related creative role.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both design and copywriting skills with social-first work.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Suite.
