Job Description
This internship takes a micro-to-macro view of web content: Starting with individual stories and projects produced to meet a news moment, then zooming out to identify larger patterns and best practices for preserving that content for the long term. This internship consists of two parts, Editorial Graphics and Web Archivist. As a graphics editor/designer, you will work on information graphics, data visualizations and special story presentations, working in close collaboration with reporters and editors in our newsroom. As an archivist, your work will center on planning and curation, identifying the needs of stakeholders, and assessing the technical aspects of web content. You will evaluate materials, apply metadata, develop training materials for users, and present your findings and recommendations.
