Advanced Drivetrain Technician

This position is intended to perform as an assistant to a Drivetrain Specialist, providing Major Component Repair (“MCR”) services at renewable energy projects, including inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs. Extended travel to EDF Renewables projects is expected. Responsibilities include assisting with specialized MCR services, crane calling and rigging, and performing large corrective repairs and component replacements independently. The role also involves overseeing safe operations during component R&R, assisting with projects requiring special skills, and developing work procedures for heavy lift operations. The technician will also assist with quality control, strive to improve safety and efficiency, and perform other assigned duties. The role requires 80% field work, with the remainder dedicated to training, paperwork, and meetings. Work may occur in extreme weather conditions and during abnormal hours. A company vehicle is provided for official use.
