Ruby Software Engineer

Looking for a Ruby Software Engineer to work on cutting-edge projects with the world’s best IT engineers. Gigster's clients rely on the Network for two main areas, Software Development and Cloud Services. The role involves leading the creation, development, and implementation of critical system design changes, enhancements, and software projects. Responsibilities include ensuring timely execution of project deliverables, working with other engineers to ensure system and product consistency, and improving product quality, performance, and security through process improvements. The engineer will also follow development standards, promote best practices, and perform code review sessions. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of software development experience with Ruby on Rails, proficiency in SQL, comfort operating in a Linux environment, experience in REST and web services design, and experience with version control systems like Git. Front-end development experience with Backbone.js and JavaScript is a plus.
