Job Description
As the Global Safety & Security Manager, you will design and implement safety and security structures for World Relief in moderate to high-risk conflict and fragile contexts, aligning with World Relief's security policies and procedures. The role involves creating an environment where WR can implement programming securely and efficiently, prioritizing staff safety.
The Manager will oversee compliance with organizational safety and security policies, advise senior management, design and update Safety and Security SOPs, tools, and templates, and ensure consistent safety and security orientations. Training responsibilities include conducting safety and security sessions, determining needs, and training trainers.
Technical support involves providing expertise to offices and areas of operation, including operational security, humanitarian access, and security context analysis. The Manager will support security plan writing, FEMA grant applications, and frequent travel to assist local teams. Incident management includes crisis response and report triage. Information management involves following security and political situations, producing high-quality analysis, and maintaining a security document library.
For new humanitarian responses or new offices, the Security lead will completing Security Risk Assessments and making go/no-go recommendations to Team Lead. Responsible for assessing new properties, providing technical security specifications needed for the property and security equipment needs and work with budget holders/logistics to fulfill.
