Job Description
We’re looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who will own the reliability, coverage, and automation of Balto’s testing ecosystem. This role is hands-on, bridging QA and engineering: you’ll write automated tests, improve coverage, and help us continuously deliver high-quality code with confidence. You’ll work closely with product engineers to design testable systems, automate repetitive checks, and find ways to make our testing pipelines faster and more reliable, especially for our Electron desktop app and AI-powered features.
You will serve as first-line support for the engineering team, helping to triage and reproduce reported issues. Own bi-weekly regression testing , ensuring stable releases and reliable feature coverage. Identify gaps in our current test plans and write automation tests for missing smoke tests across features.
