The Operations Coordinator, HB Coding reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards. The Operations Coordinator, HB Coding is a subject matter expert and role model of the Coding Department and coordinates a team effort to compile and maintain data for various functional areas within the Coding Department at NM.
This position supports new clinic services with revenue cycle-related functions including training, education, charge capture, and correct coding edits. The Claims Coding Specialist works collaboratively with physicians to provide an optimal revenue cycle environment that is efficient, effective, comprehensive and compliant. The typical work includes the resolution to coding edits for all payers, revenue reconciliation, identify and/or organize appropriate education for physicians, and effective communication.
The Coding & Billing Specialist will be a key member of firsthand’s clinical documentation team. As the first hire in this function, the Coding & Billing Specialist will help define key processes and program design elements to support comprehensive and accurate coding for clinical services rendered by firsthand. This role will also be responsible for day-to-day encounter coding, coding audits, coding corrections, claims submission, and more.
