An editorial intern is needed to join the Science desk and Short Wave podcast teams. The intern will spend the first half of the internship on the Science desk before moving to the podcast team for the second half. Responsibilities include research, fact-checking, writing and reporting, and production.

The intern will learn economics, finance, narrative storytelling, and audio production. They will assist in episode audio production, write copy for npr.org and social channels, fact-check episodes, book guests and pitch stories. The intern will split their time between the two podcasts as part of a rotation, working on The Indicator and Planet Money.
