This position emphasizes conducting remote and onsite testing for wind, solar, conventional generation and energy storage projects, meeting ISO (ERCOT, PJM, etc.) and NERC requirements. You will perform commissioning/compliance testing, high level bulk power system studies using software like PSS/e, PSCAD, Aspen, and PSLF. You'll also conduct engineering studies for new technologies interacting with equipment vendors, process and maintain data, and enhance existing procedures.

The ideal candidate will be an electrical engineer or computer scientist with expertise in integration of communications and data feeds across RFID, sensors, internet of things (IOT), Bluetooth, and similar technologies. This position will focus heavily on the integration and, potentially, creation of embedded software purpose-built for DoD use cases.

Under the general direction of the Manager, works on moderately complex engineering projects and provides engineering support to real-time grid operations and market operations for the California ISO. Primarily responsible for establishing and updating the operating limits to the Grid and documenting the associated operating procedures to support the safe and reliable operation of the system.
