The Medical Director will provide consultation and mortality assessment of complex medical files, including interpretation of EKG’s, stress tests, blood work, and other medical test results. Responsibilities include assessing complex medical files, interpreting lab results, and participating in the continuing education of the JH underwriting team.

You will assist and manage patients’ health concerns and conditions in this part-time, remote role at Winona. This is asynchronous telehealth with no real-time patient interaction, requiring only 1-3 hours per day. Responsibilities include reviewing medical history, formulating treatment plans, prescribing tests and medications, and maintaining patient records.

In this role, you will provide medical expertise and leadership in assessing the clinical necessity and appropriateness of oncology treatments, while ensuring cost-effective care without compromising patient outcomes. Conduct medical reviews of hematology and oncology treatment plans to determine medical necessity.
