Contribute to the design and development of our Billing system, ensuring accessibility, transparency, speed, and predictability for an exceptional user experience. Collaborate with product teams to meet their billing requirements and help figure out pricing. Improve usage insights for both users and our success/support/product teams. Enhance our dunning process to decrease payment short-fall. Build and refine systems to detect and prevent fraud. Support our customers and find ways to reduce support load by optimizing usage insights or self-serve capabilities. Implement timely usage/budget notifications and better cost control for customers.

The Billing System Engineering Manager will lead a team of software engineers to develop an internal billing system, delivering a consistent billing experience to all Canonical customers. They will partner with business customers to understand business needs and deliver engineering solutions. Requires prior experience as a software developer in a high-level language and as a hands-on engineering manager.
