Aave Labs is looking for a Staff smart contract engineer to innovate and build upon the Aave protocol and GHO stablecoin. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum and other EVM based networks & work closely with the Aave team to develop and maintain the protocol.

Build and continuously improve trading-related features across web, mobile, backend services, and on-chain components. Design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and user interfaces that support high-scale trading and creation experiences. Own projects end-to-end—from system design to implementation, testing, rollout, and post-launch iteration. Work closely with PMs and Designers to shape product direction and ensure user needs are kept at the center.

Develop new features using Node.js + NestJS / TypeScript. Design, write, test and deploy Solidity Smart Contracts in Ethereal / EVM networks. Contribute with your experience in CI/CD pipelines with unit testing and code coverage requirements. Create clean and modern code, following all the industry best practices. Work independently and proactively find opportunities for improvements in both code quality and team processes.
