Evaluate Section 7 consultation requests and environmental documents under NEPA, CEQA, MSA, FWCA, and the Federal Power Act. Analyze effects of proposed actions on listed species and habitats and draft biological opinions and concurrence letters. Engage with agencies, tribes, and stakeholders to identify mitigation and conservation opportunities. The role supports implementation of the Endangered Species Act (ESA).

This role provides scientific and regulatory support for ESA, NEPA, MSA, MMPA, and Federal Power Act implementation in the Central Valley. You will support technical reviews and development of studies related to dam removal, fish passage, habitat expansion, and hydropower facility impacts. Responsibilities include participating in interagency meetings and producing technical review documents.
