The Executive Editor will lead and guide Local Democracy Reporters (LDRs) across the UK, ensuring compliance and excellence in their output. This role involves making sure LDRs are trained and developed, and overseeing Reach’s compliance and workflows within the LDRS portal. Key responsibilities include coaching on editorial matters, guiding content creation, and deputizing for the Audience and Content Director for the LDRS.

You will work with LDRS across our West Midlands brands and across our Live Network, ensuring they produce content that consistently meets contractual obligations and BBC requirements. You will support LDRs in creating content that engages readers, reaches a wide audience and incorporates best practice. You will mentor and develop LDRs who report directly to you, conducting monthly one-on-one check-ins.
