This role supports the development, commissioning, and continuous improvement of manufacturing equipment for next-generation eVTOL powertrain technologies, focusing on designing and integrating control systems. The role involves working with cross-functional teams supporting power electronics, electric motors, batteries, and related propulsion components.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for; Develop, test, and lead mechanical designs, including trade studies, concept and detailed designs, BOMs, drawings, engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and associated documentation. Lead the Mechanical Engineering team within a project, serving as the primary resource for technical leadership, oversight, and development. Implement product designs using engineering principles and standard tools.

As Mechanical Engineer II, you will develop and test mechanical designs, including trade studies, concept and detailed designs. Apply engineering principles and standard tools to execute product designs and utilize analysis tools to verify design concepts. You will also assemble, test, and evaluate prototypes for functionality and performance.

This role ensures health and safety compliance for materials, flight operations, and hazardous substances, support REACH compliance assessments and documentation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams and Italian stakeholders on EH&S deliverable. The SME will focus on Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) compliance for UAV materials, flight operations, and regulatory documentation, supporting operations with Italian customers and Ministry of Defense (MoD) sites.
