The Software Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining front-end and back-end solutions for desktop and mobile web applications that empower progressive candidates and organizations. This position focuses on building scalable, secure, and user-friendly applications that empower progressive organizations, drive civic engagement, and promote democratic participation. Collaboration with product, design, and data teams is essential to deliver impactful solutions.

This dual scope role requires both tactical execution and high-level systems thinking. Responsible for leading People, HR and Operational work at a cross functional and strategic level to ensure strength in all aspects of those areas of the business including; talent development & engagement, operational project management and compliance. Working closely with the COO, senior managers, and external partners.

Support research verticals focused on the extraction, normalization, and ingestion of civic data as a Research Fellow. Work within a team to build a database on U.S. government officeholders, candidates, and places using tools like SQL and web scrapers. Manage projects, ensure data delivery, delegate tasks, and communicate progress to the broader team.
