The Athletic is hiring a senior editor for our Daily Desk, which works across the newsroom to strengthen the quality of our everyday report and to seize on opportunities throughout the sports world for compelling journalism. Successful candidates must have strong news judgment to launch on stories as well as deft editing skills to lift up stories that are already in motion.

Data is central to The Athletic's decision-making process. Looking for a Senior Data Analyst who will be defining core business metrics, answering high-impact strategic questions, and scaling analytics tools and methodologies. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver insights that shape the user experience and drive engagement. This role is 100% remote for candidates currently residing in the United States or Canada.

The Athletic is rapidly growing in the world of journalism. In this role, you will develop new features based on product specifications, ensuring to always optimize for scalability and performance. You will also contribute to and engage in our scrum process through sprint planning, review, retrospectives and daily standups, fix live bugs, and coach and mentor Junior engineers.
