As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers to deliver the new pricing platform that enables machine learning scientists and engineers to innovate faster while raising the bar on quality. You will set the technical direction for Pricing and define an execution roadmap that works backwards from the company’s goals and the needs of our customers.

Drive growth through partnerships for some of Upstart's newest and most exciting product lines, focusing on Auto Lending and Small Dollar Relief Loans. You will optimize existing partnerships and create new strategic relationships that expand Upstart’s reach and drive customer acquisition. The role involves cross-functional work with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and the GMs of lending products to scale new products.

Partner with model developers in the Machine Learning team to maintain robust and up-to-date model inventory, model risk assessments, documentation, and monitoring reports. As the Data Platform Engineer, you will contribute to building and maintaining scalable tools for data teams, expanding the self-serve ETL, and managing the data catalog. As the Buyer at Upstart, you will have responsibility for guiding users through the Procure- to-Order (P2O) process and ensure that all controls are followed resulting in minimal risk while ensuring a great customer experience. You will provide first line support for end users in the Procure-to-Order process by guiding them through intake, providing training, and fielding questions. You will also ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, manage POs through Procurement Systems and conduct pricing negotiations.

The Principal Engineer will collaborate with all parts of the Upstart business and engineering, including Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Product Management, Product Design, Platform, Servicing, Lending Partnerships, and Auto. The goal is to autonomously identify and prioritize high impact work that will ultimately make the Capital Supply Vertical successful.

This role involves planning and building complex journeys using owned channels like Email and SMS to guide customers through discovery, activation, and borrowing funds for loans. You will create workback schedules, strategic documentation, and creative briefs, as well as analyze customer lifecycle performance to develop optimization roadmaps, collaborating with partners in Product Marketing, Product, Engineering, Creative, and Analytics.

As the Staff Data Analyst on the Servicing Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in influencing Upstart’s success. Partnering closely with our Servicing product management, operations, engineering, and ML teams, you’ll work directly with key stakeholders, helping drive understanding, insights, decision-making, and data infrastructure relating to the development, optimization, and enhancement of our recoveries and collections strategy.

Work closely with our engineering and data science teams to securely design and implement new products and features. Set up a regular vulnerability scanning tools and manage remediation of identified issues. Assess the threat model for cloud native infrastructures and applications. Operate as an integral member of the engineering team and advocate for security best practices across the organization.

As a Principal Security Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping Upstart’s security strategy, architecting, designing, and influencing our security measures across all security controls while driving our roadmap forward. Partnering closely with Engineering and business leaders, you will develop and implement security patterns to protect our products while enabling developers. This role requires an experienced security practitioner who can mentor engineers, stay ahead of emerging threats, and communicate security risks to senior and executive stakeholders.

Lead a team of engineers directly in building out a monetization platform that ensures profitability of Upstart’s Auto Retail products. Your team will rethink how Upstart launches new rooftops, onboard capital partners, consume model decisions, and price our loan offerings accurately. You’ll work closely with the Machine Learning team to come up with solutions that need to be delivered at scale.

As a Senior Software Engineer on the ML Platform team, you’ll be responsible for building an MLOps platform to support machine learning training, process automation, model deployment, and monitoring. You will build, maintain and optimize high-quality software applications that enable machine learning models to be applied to the ever-evolving needs of the business. You will also enable rapid experimentation and iteration in model training code.

As the Sr Offensive Security Engineer at Upstart, you will be responsible for building the Offensive Security program at Upstart and executing on its objectives, finding weaknesses in Upstart's controls and helping drive remediation of those weaknesses, and partnering frequently with your peers in Detection Engineering, Cloud Security, Application Security, and Enterprise Security to ensure the controls we build are effective.

Lead efforts to strengthen investor relationships, manage loan portfolio performance discussions, and collaborate cross-functionally to provide investors with the insights they need to make informed investment decisions. Seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Revenue Science team. Revenue Science builds the systems that optimize the offers we present to borrowers—balancing customer appeal, lender requirements, and capital availability. You’ll collaborate with engineers and cross-functional partners across Product, Analytics, Machine Learning, and Capital Markets to build scalable systems.
