VP, Development - AI & Data

Team Leadership:

• Hire, lead, and mentor a team of software engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers to build industry-leading AI capabilities.
• Foster a culture of innovation, rigor, and continuous learning in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.
• Communicate technical direction and progress to leadership and stakeholders across the organization.

AI Strategy & Innovation:

• Define and own the technical strategy for Lumin's AI roadmap, ensuring alignment with product and business objectives.
• Evaluate and integrate the latest advancements in Generative AI and agentic frameworks for product differentiation.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable AI capabilities including LLM integration, agentic workflows, and deployment pipelines.

Data Engineering & Foundations:

• Architect robust, scalable data pipelines supporting AI and machine learning workloads.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and observability standards are met across the data platform.
• Drive adoption of best practices for data modeling, storage, and retrieval, including vector databases and RAG architectures.

Cross-Functional Partnership:

• Partner with Product leadership to identify opportunities for AI-driven product capabilities.
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to share AI tooling and best practices.
• Translate complex AI concepts into clear narratives for executive and business audiences.
