Software Engineer II

As a Software Engineer II, you’re beyond the basics, comfortable tackling moderately complex technical problems, and take initiative in driving projects forward. You will design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications and services within The Zebra. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define and deliver new features. Develop clean, reusable, testable code across backend and frontend codebases. Drive technical design and architecture discussions. Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to other engineers. Monitor performance, troubleshoot production issues, and continuously improve the codebase and processes. Contribute to planning and prioritization, helping the team deliver predictably and effectively. You will also act as a technical leader for the team and grow other engineers through example and mentorship.
