Senior Software Engineer, Backend Infrastructure

Backend Infrastructure:

• Design, build, and maintain resilient backend services.
• Develop reusable libraries and frameworks.
• Partner with product and platform teams to design APIs.

Scaling and Reliability:

• Handle high application traffic.
• Meet strict uptime and latency expectations.
• Evolve core services that underpin Thumbtack’s growth.

Backend:

• Anticipate scaling challenges through capacity planning and proactive engineering.
• Design, operate, and troubleshoot services that handle critical user-facing traffic.
• Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and address production issues.
