Staff Software Engineer, Contractor Platform

Technical Leadership:

• Serve as the engineering anchor for the platform, owning architecture and long-range technical strategy.
• Set and uphold engineering standards including coding, testing, and review practices.
• Grow into the technical lead of the platform’s engineering team as it scales.

Engineering and Architecture:

• Own design and delivery of significant components and domain areas of the platform.
• Drive API design, data models, and integration patterns for external platforms.
• Author design documents and ADRs for significant changes.

Application Development:

• Contribute production code across the stack in TypeScript: Express, MikroORM, React, and MUI.
• Design data models, migrations, and schema-evolution strategies on PostgreSQL.
• Optimize performance across queues, caching, and background workers.

AI-Native Engineering:

• Delegate whole features to autonomous agents and review their output.
• Build skills architecture, MCP integrations, and prompts for safe agentic development.
• Set the standard for trust and quality when using AI tools.
