Staff Engineer, Revenue Engine

The Work:

• You will lead the design of fault-tolerant, observable, and deeply reconciled integrations with third-party services.
• You will build abstractions and standards that let dozens of adjacent engineering teams ship faster and more safely.
• You will shape the operational excellence for systems handling every payment and claim at Headway.

Who You Are:

• You care about both API architecture and user experience, seamlessly switching between backend and frontend.
• You have taken ambiguous problems and turned them into shipped software, owning outcomes rather than tasks.
• You make technical decisions for maintainability and scale, and proactively improve engineering velocity.

The Stack:

• Languages: TypeScript, Python 3; Frontend: React, Remix, Next.js.
• Backend & Storage: FastAPI, SQLAlchemy, Postgres, Redis, Snowflake.
• Infrastructure: AWS, Temporal, Kafka; Ops: Datadog, Sentry, PagerDuty.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $264,000 - $330,000 base plus competitive equity.
