Job Description
Work closely with internal and external customers to prepare and submit quality export authorizations (Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLA) and other requests for approval) to the U.S. Department of State Office of Defense Trade Control Licensing, and U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security. Provide consistent interpretation of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to Raytheon employees. Provide export authorization status updates to leadership and programs/requestors. Facilitate approvals for the physical export of hardware and other transactional activities. Work with the Senior Global Trade Manager and other stakeholders to determine and certify appropriate legal authority for exports of dual-use commodities and technology, defense articles; hardware, technical data and defense services, including determination of the appropriate export authorization, exemption, or exception. Participate in compliance assessments and investigations. Develop and deliver training, as required, for employees engaged in international business activities. Represent Global Trade in meetings and discussions with internal and external stakeholders. Assist in implementation of company procedures and instructions to support compliance with U.S. Government export/import regulations and company policy.
