Lead OHSU’s export control program to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, serving as a consultant and subject matter expert to OHSU Logistics to provide evaluation of international shipments for export compliance requirements. The role involves collaborating with principal investigators to identify sensitive materials, leading the implementation of OHSU’s research security program, advising on travel restrictions, and overseeing the maintenance of export controls systems.

Work closely with internal and external customers to prepare and submit quality export authorizations to the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Commerce. Provide consistent interpretation of International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to employees. Facilitate approvals for the physical export of hardware and other transactional activities.
