ROLE OVERVIEW:
- Defines the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the core streaming analytics engine within Confluent's real-time data platform.
- Owns a system at the intersection of stream processing, real-time analytical databases, and modern serving infrastructure.
- Focuses on transforming data in motion into low-latency, queryable materialized views for AI agents, dashboards, and applications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partners with engineering, design, and senior leadership to bring the product to market and position it competitively.
- Collaborates with peer product managers on downstream experiences like AI and application integration.
- Works with customers and design partners to validate use cases and refine go-to-market positioning.
- Defines success metrics, cost models, and pricing strategy for this new product area.
WHAT YOU BRING:
- 8+ years of product management or related technical experience with 5+ years in technical infrastructure or data products.
- Deep familiarity with real-time analytics, database internals, or streaming data platform architecture.
- Strong technical judgment in distributed systems, storage engines, query performance, and cost optimization.
- Track record of leading cross-functional initiatives with executive-level visibility and communication.
