Principal Software Engineer - Document Processing (US Remote)

Role and Responsibilities:

• Lead the evolution of document processing pipeline designing Step Functions and modular Go services.
• Own hard problems around processing real-world PDFs reliably at scale, handling malformed input and structural variance.
• Build operational metrics and observability for the document pipeline and extend to other platform areas.

Qualifications:

• Documented professional software engineering experience with a track record of shipping production systems.
• Strong Go experience, particularly for backend/service work.
• Hands-on experience with document processing at scale, understanding PDF structure and edge cases.

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in C++.
• Interest or experience in Rust.
• Hands-on OpenSearch or Lucene-based search experience.
