Raw Materials Buyer

The raw material buyer is responsible for procuring the materials needed for production. This involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing inventory and ensuring a continuous supply of materials while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.  This is a remote position with approximately 25% domestic travel required. The role includes identifying and evaluating potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, building long-term partnerships, and managing supplier performance through reporting on delivery metrics and responsiveness. The Buyer is responsible for negotiating favorable pricing, terms and lead times with suppliers while maintaining quality and supply continuity. They will also place purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure materials meet quality and delivery standards while collaborating with production and planning teams to maintain a smooth flow of materials.
