Endocrinology and Obesity Medicine Physician

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct patient care via telemedicine for obesity and comprehensive diabetes management, including advanced insulin and device therapies.
• Ensure quality and continuity for complex cases by reviewing APP patient charts and conducting supervisory visits.
• Prescribe medications and provide advanced treatment planning for complex endocrinology cases.

Team Collaboration and Development:

• Conduct weekly collaborative meetings and asynchronous communication with Endocrine-Specialized APPs for case review and mentorship.
• Foster clinical growth and professional development of colleagues through feedback and support for continuing education.
• Participate in team-based care initiatives and departmental meetings to enhance care consistency and safety.

Clinical and Administrative Duties:

• Adhere to clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways, focusing on guidelines for complex diabetic populations.
• Work a modified full-time schedule of 32 hours per week with protected time for supervision, teaching, and administrative tasks.
• Participate in a rotating after-hours call schedule with a reduced clinical load during on-call weeks.
