Staff Accountant

Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software, record day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness, monitor and maintain proper documentation for all general ledger entries to ensure audit readiness. Record general ledger entries and prepare account reconciliations as part of the period end close process; assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Perform reconciliations, including cash, accounts receivable, prepaids and fixed assets, to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions as part of the financial close; prepare and maintain schedules for various balance sheet and income statement accounts and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies; assist in the preparation of documentation for audits and provide necessary support during audit processes. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements within the accounting function and implement and maintain effective internal controls.
