AI Data Engineering Lead

Role Purpose:

• Lead the data foundation for domain-specific AI models in regulated industries, combining strategy, architecture, and hands-on impact.
• Own the full data lifecycle from sourcing and transforming to versioning and preparing high-value regulated data for model training.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the AI data engineering team, setting technical direction and scaling the function as the programme grows.
• Design and build the AWS-based AI data platform, ensuring production-scale reliability, security, and performance.
• Define and enforce data governance standards, including quality checks, labelling, and GDPR compliance in partnership with Legal.

Skills and Experience:

• Senior data engineer or technical lead with experience owning large data platforms end-to-end and leading teams.
• Deep production experience with Python, SQL, and AWS data services like S3, Glue, and Athena at scale.
• Strong understanding of ML training data pipelines, data governance, versioning, and working with legal partners on regulatory requirements.
