Senior Acoustician

Job Description:

• AECOM is seeking a Senior Acoustician to join their Acoustic team in a remote, part-time capacity (20 hours per week) aligned with the Denver, CO office.
• This role involves utilizing advanced scientific principles to develop solutions for complex acoustical problems.

Responsibilities:

• Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and regulations.
• Works with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.
• Conducts research and investigation, and may oversee junior staff.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Manages and delivers noise analysis tasks for major transportation, construction, energy, and development projects.
• Performs predictive analyses with spreadsheet tools and software, and supervises acoustical measurements and noise surveys.
• Reviews regulatory criteria at local, state, and national levels.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in acoustics, engineering, physics, mathematics, or environmental policy with 6 years of relevant experience.
• US Citizenship required; preferred qualifications include a master's degree and board certification by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering.
