Responsibilities:
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and regulations.
- Works with minimal direction, exercising considerable latitude in determining technical objectives.
- Conducts research and investigation, and may oversee junior staff.
Technical Responsibilities:
- Manages and delivers noise analysis tasks for major transportation, construction, energy, and development projects.
- Performs predictive analyses with spreadsheet tools and software, and supervises acoustical measurements and noise surveys.
- Reviews regulatory criteria at local, state, and national levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in acoustics, engineering, physics, mathematics, or environmental policy with 6 years of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship required; preferred qualifications include a master's degree and board certification by the Institute of Noise Control Engineering.
