About the Initiative:

  • There is a growing global education crisis, with millions of children unable to access quality education.
  • GFC and AfriKids, alongside Mc2H Foundation, have launched a two-year pilot programme to empower communities to champion children's education in Ghana.

Role Overview:

  • GFC is seeking a consultant to support seven grassroots partner organizations in strengthening their community-driven approach to education.
  • The consultant will provide tailored support, capacity strengthening, and mentoring, and facilitate access to resources.
  • This is a part-time consultancy (50% FTE) from mid-late July 2026 through December 2027.

Scope of Work:

  • Lead grantmaking and capacity development for partner organizations, building trust-based relationships.
  • Facilitate collaboration, learning, and documentation of partner work for internal and external audiences.
  • Contribute to communications, reporting, fundraising, and advocacy efforts to promote community-led education.

Profile of the Ideal Consultant:

  • Passionate about community-led social change and education, with experience in grant management and organizational development.
  • Based in Ghana, with strong cross-cultural communication skills and fluency in English and at least one Ghanaian language.
  • Committed to disrupting power imbalances and fostering equitable partnerships with grassroots leaders.
