Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and test flight software for Muon's satellite systems using ARM Cortex-M CPUs.
  • Provide technical leadership and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities.
  • Integrate compute and peripheral subsystems, and support on-orbit operations and technology selection.

Qualifications:

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience; strong C/C++ and embedded systems fundamentals.
  • Experience with government/defense projects and current TS clearance.

Nice-to-have Skills:

  • Experience in flight software or closely related domain.
  • Familiarity with ProtoBuf, YAML, JSON, Rust, Python, Linux.
  • Knowledge of embedded Linux, FPGA, HW design, RF, or network architecture.

About the Role:

  • Integral member of the team defining and building Muon’s satellite bus and payload platform.
  • Translate concepts into working implementations, supporting through on-orbit operations.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams to set architecture and tools.
