Principal Product Designer, Software Collection

Software practice is going through a once-in-a-lifetime change, brought about by powerful new AI capabilities. This role will help Atlassian redefine software practice in this AI-native world, working with talented designers across Atlassian’s software team-specific products to produce short- and long-term user-centered design. This Sr. Principal Designer will work with heads of design, product and engineering (along with other designers and researchers), to envision an AI-native software development life cycle (SDLC), driving alignment and connection between Atlassian’s existing portfolio of products. The ideal candidate will have experience designing tools for developers and/or across the SDLC, as well as experience designing AI-powered features or products. The ideal candidate is a blend of technical depth with systems thinking, yet who obsesses over design details. The role reports directly to the Head of Design for Software Collection.
