Sr. Engineering Manager

Responsibilities:

• Guide technical vision for B2B and consumer platforms using Ruby on Rails, Python, and AWS, ensuring high availability and security.
• Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle to deliver features for API-powered prescription fulfillment and pharmacy logistics.
• Champion engineering best practices for HIPAA and SOC2 compliance, embedding patient data security into the codebase.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Build high-trust relationships and communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical clinical and operational stakeholders.
• Partner with Product Management, Pharmacy Operations, and QA to translate complex healthcare requirements into actionable sprints.
• Establish and track engineering metrics like DORA and system uptime to drive continuous improvement in efficiency and reliability.

Operational & Team Management:

• Serve as a senior escalation point for critical system outages, leading root-cause analyses and implementing preventive measures.
• Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of over 10 software engineers and engineering managers across agile squads.
• Manage departmental budgets, vendor relationships, and cloud infrastructure costs to support sustainable scale.
