Responsibilities:
- Translate health care services and procedures into standardized codes.
- Maintain timeliness of coding, billing, and accounts receivable.
- Communicate with providers for documentation.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in HIT/HIM or High school diploma.
- Proficient in ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding.
- 1 year of outpatient coding.
Preferences:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or related field.
- Knowledge and experience with Epic, 3M 360 and other HIM coding applications.
- Knowledge of entire hospital billing revenue cycle process.
