Responsibilities:
- Performs final reconciliation on clinic or provider visits.
- Reviews, abstracts, and codes multiple or sub specialty services.
- Researches and resolves high volume accounts, complex or escalated suspended claims.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of clinical documentation requirements related to regulatory and reimbursement rules and regulations.
- Demonstrated proficiency in computer software.
- Ability to effectively train others.
Qualifications:
- AHIMA or AAPC recognized certification.
- Three years of coding, clinical or billing experience.
- Experience in organizing and conducting coding or billing education.
