This position secures outpatient accounts by performing insurance verification, obtaining benefit information, calculating patient estimates, and obtaining prior authorization before services are rendered. The role involves working with physicians, nurses, clinic managers, and financial advocates to resolve issues that arise during the prior authorizations process.

This position is responsible for insurance receivables collections, denials resolution and internal/external customer service. Account portfolio may include accounts less complex in nature. This position is not responsible for providing patient care. Performs insurance follow-up and denial resolution on outstanding claims.

This position involves mental health therapy and the application of psychotherapeutic and social work principles. Providing professional mental health services through direct or indirect consultation with patients, supervision of practice of a certified social worker or social service worker, and interns, and developing program criteria for area of specialization.
