Responsibilities:

  • Examines the complete medical record to accurately determine the principal & secondary diagnoses, procedures, and complications.
  • Appropriately holds accounts when more information is required for accurate code assignment.
  • Contacts appropriate staff (CDI/Leadership/Medical Staff) as needed.

Requirements:

  • 0-2 years' experience in Coding
  • Must have an RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCA, CPC, CIC , COC, CPC-P, or any specialty credential accredited by AHIMA or AAPC or accredited by AHIMA or AAPC within 6 months of hire.
  • HIGH SCHOOL OR GED REQUIRED
