Health Economist

About the Role:

• You will apply health economics and econometric methods to support Medicaid policy and program improvement.
• The role focuses on federal policy changes and program integrity initiatives for Hawaiʻi Med-QUEST.
• You will lead analytic workstreams and engage directly with senior Medicaid leaders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct economic and quantitative analyses using Medicaid data.
• Develop forecasts, scenarios, and econometric models to inform policy design and evaluation.
• Translate complex findings into clear reports and recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications:

• You hold a PhD in economics, health economics, or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience.
• You have advanced proficiency in R, Stata, SAS, or Python and experience with large healthcare datasets.
• You possess strong knowledge of Medicaid policy and program operations.
