Business Systems Engineer

About the job:

• You will automate how Slide runs across every business line including sales, finance, support, customer success, operations, and people.
• This is not an IT-support or infrastructure role; your focus is making the whole company run faster and cleaner through integrations, automation, and AI.

What you'll do:

• Partner with business leaders to find high-value automation and map how work flows across teams.
• Build cross-functional automations and integrations connecting the business stack (e.g., HubSpot, Stripe, Rippling, Google Workspace, Jira).
• Design and ship AI and agentic workflows with sensible guardrails, and drive healthy AI adoption across the company.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years building automations and integrations across business systems with a track record of saving real time.
• Strong integration and scripting skills: APIs, webhooks, iPaaS platforms (Zapier, Make, Workato, or n8n), and real code (Python or JavaScript).
• Genuine AI fluency: hands-on building LLM- and agent-powered workflows with an informed point of view on safe usage.
