Consultancy Overview:

• The freelancer will produce original political reporting for Courier Colorado on a story-by-story basis.
• Deliver stories that connect federal, state, and local policy decisions to the real lives of Colorado residents.

Deliverables:

• Up to 6 stories per month focused on Colorado politics, policy, and civic life.
• Refine angles, incorporate feedback, and ensure reporting meets COURIER's journalistic standards.
• Conduct rigorous research, interviews, and fact-checking.

Qualifications:

• Lives in Colorado and has 3+ years of reporting experience focusing on politics, policy, or public affairs.
• Strong reporting and writing skills with a commitment to fact-based, people-centered journalism.
• Deep familiarity with Colorado's politics, institutions, and key issues.
