Analytical Skills
Financial Close and Reporting:
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with US GAAP.
- Assist with the preparation of SEC filings, including 10-K and 10-Q, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and lead the accounting and accounts payable functions, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Collaborate closely with the Assistant Controller and other leaders on strategic initiatives and cross-functional projects.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a CPA preferred and 6+ years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a manager role.
- Prior experience in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences is strongly preferred.
- Strong background in financial close, internal control execution, and strengthening accounting systems for SOX and GAAP compliance.
