Senior AI/ML Engineer

Role Summary:

• Design and build the engine for ALX's AI learning platform, solving cold-start path recommendations.
• Own the design, implementation, and update dynamics of the competency navigation algorithm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Encode the prerequisite structure of the domain and its priors for cold-start performance.
• Build LLM processing pipelines for evaluating content and later behavioural and at-risk profiling.
• Collaborate with a small team and ship production code, not notebooks.

Skill Requirements:

• Strong probabilistic/Bayesian modelling skills with experience designing models from domain structure.
• Python expertise and ability to ship production pipelines.
• Evaluation design experience; desirable: BKT/KST, MLflow, knowledge graphs.
