Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial models for planned new energy projects, including feasibility studies, asset transactions, project development, and capital budgeting.
  • Perform due diligence evaluations of power projects, including greenfield projects, refinancing, and acquisitions.
  • Develop operation and maintenance cost estimates for existing power plants and proposed capital improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or engineering with 12 or more years of experience in the power industry.
  • Requires financial modeling of power projects and energy infrastructure and technical knowledge in multiple power generation technologies.
  • Valued skills include experience in calculating revenue requirements and long-term power supply and transmission planning.

AI & Automation:

  • Lead others in using modern tools like automation and AI to improve workflows, reduce rework, and deliver cost-effective designs.
  • Direct automation and process-improvement work, such as automating calculations, summarizing documents, or generating design documentation.
  • Oversee engineers who program or script (e.g., Python, MATLAB, advanced Excel) to automate engineering tasks.
