Job Description

Field Work:

  • Performs archaeological fieldwork, laboratory analysis, and documentation.
  • Excavate shovel test pits (STPs), test units, and features, as well as mapping and documentation.

-Tolerance for working in outdoor environments and must be able to extensively perform bending, kneeling, standing, and lifting and carrying objects weighing 50 lbs.

Responsibilities:

  • Works under the direction of Crew Chiefs, Field Director, Lab Supervisor, and Principal Investigator.

-Providing graphic support, writing, travel coordination, project/paperwork organizational support.

-Pulling together equipment for field projects as directed by supervisors.

Qualifications:

-BS or BA degree in Anthropology, Archaeology, or a related discipline.

-Must have successfully completed an accredited archaeological field school.

-Field staff must have the ability to communicate clearly and work well with others.
