NYC's economic vitality and urban livability rely on a sophisticated logistics and supply chain network. The Freight Mobility Unit focuses on enhancing the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of goods movement, while mitigating the adverse effects of truck traffic on infrastructure and communities. The Division of Transportation Planning & Management (TPM) is responsible for the safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible movement of people and goods on the City's streets, supporting the larger goals of economic and social vitality for people living, working, and doing business in New York City. The FM unit is responsible for developing transformative projects, programs, and policies to improve the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of goods movement in NYC. Core duties include supporting planning and coordination, conducting outreach, and reviewing public inquiries. The candidates will also support the identification and development of street improvement projects that improve safety for all road users.
